Support to the YES campaign

Pride By Side supports the YES campaign for a constitutionally enshrined Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. We fully support The Uluru Statement from the Heart and stand in solidarity with First Nations communities on this journey towards genuine reconciliation. We call on our network to VOTE YES in the upcoming referendum on 14 October to contribute towards building a better, more inclusive, and equitable future for all Australians.

This Pride Month we’re running “30 Queer Needs”—a campaign for the month of June where we match 30 LGBTIQ+ initiatives with experts who can help. Queer or ally-led initiatives from non-profit, business, or government are welcome to apply.

#IDAHOBIT isn't just a day to be proud of who we are. It's also a reminder of the role that sharing stories and narratives have in helping people understand our experiences as queer people: Our joys, our losses, our struggles, our triumphs, our aspirations, and our realities. It was a pleasure to be invited by Sonder to talk about LGBTIQ+ issues—particularly within the context of wellbeing.

2026 Australian Census Submission

Pride by Side made its case on behalf of LGBTIQ+ initiatives to the Australian Bureau of Statistics for inclusion and improvement in the 2026 National Census. The submission advocates for better data so that we know who we are, where we are, how we live, and what we need in order to design and deliver services, and measure progress. Good data tells powerful, rich stories about communities, and LGBTIQ+ people are missing from this data.

UNLEASH Plus is a 6-month incubation program for early-stage social entrepreneurs who have a great idea and a phenomenal team. Pride by Side and UNLEASH Plus are pairing up to ensure a proportion of places in UNLEASH Plus are set aside for initiatives that benefit LGBTIQ+ communities. Applications are now open.
